Rising from the deep blue of the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean are more than a thousand islands and thousands more reefs that form the Maldives. اذ ارتفع من الازرق العميق للفسحة واسعة من المحيط الهندي اكثر من الف وآلاف اخرى من الجزر المرجانيه التي تشكل جزر المالديف.

The Maldives consists of 1190 islands grouped into 26 natural atolls scattered over an area of 90,000 sq. جزر المالديف يتألف من 1190 الى 26 في مجموعات الجزر الطبيعيه الجزر المتناثره على مساحة 90000 مربع km straddling the equator between latitudes 7°6” north and 0°42” south and longitudes 72°32” and 73°46” East. كم المتداخله خط الاستواء بين خطي العرض 7 ° 6 "الشمال و42 ° 0" والجنوب وخطوط الطول 72 ° 32 "و 73 ° 46" الشرقية.
Geography جغرافيا
The atolls of the Maldives are formed from coral structures. من الجزر تتكون جزر المالديف من هياكل المرجان. The atolls are part of a greater structure known as the Laccadives-Chagos Ridge, which stretches over 2000 kilometers. الجزر هي جزء من اكبر هيكل المعروفة باسم laccadives - شاغوس ريدج ، التي تمتد على مدى 2000 كلم. The early history of the Maldives is enshrined in myth and legend. فى وقت مبكر من تاريخ ملديف المنصوص عليها في الاسطوره والاسطوره. Archeological records indicate that the first visitors to the Maldives stepped ashore over 5000 years ago. السجلات الاثريه تشير الى ان اول من الزوار الى تكثيف ملديف الى الشاطئ اكثر من 5000 سنة خلت. According to folklore the Maldives was first colonized by an Indo-Aryan race between the fourth and fifth centuries BC ووفقا لالفولكلور جزر المالديف وكان اول من استعمر من قبل الهند الاريه سباق بين الرابعة والخامسة قرون قبل الميلاد

Culture ثقافة
Located at the crossways of the Indian Ocean shipping lanes on the main seaway around the Indian subcontinent, the Maldives has long been a meeting point for African, Arab, Malay and Indonesian mariners. على هيئة صليب الواقعة على المحيط الهندى للشحن على الطرق الرئيسية البحري في جميع انحاء شبه القارة الهندية ، وجزر المالديف منذ وقت طويل نقطة التقاء لالافريقيه والعربية والماليزية والاندونيسيه البحاره.
Throughout the centuries these influences have shaped the Maldivian way of life. على مر القرون هذه التأثيرات قد شكلت الملديفيه طريقة للحياة. This can be seen from the many facets of Maldivian lifestyle such as dining, music, art and craft. ويمكن ملاحظه ذلك من وجوه عديدة من الملديفيه نمط الحياة مثل تناول الطعام ، والموسيقى والفن والصناعات الحرفيه.
Music موسيقى
Bodu Beru is the most popular form of music and dance in the country, believed to have been introduced in the early 19th century by African slaves. Bodu beru هو الاكثر شعبية في شكل من أشكال الموسيقى والرقص في البلاد ، ويعتقد أنه تم عرضه في اوائل القرن التاسع عشر عن طريق الرقيق الافارقه. Historians believe that Thaara, which also holds a special place in local entertainment, have been introduced from the Middle East in the seventeenth century. ويعتقد المؤرخون ان thaara ، الذي يحمل ايضا مكانة خاصة في وسائل الترفيه المحلية ، وأدخلت من الشرق الأوسط في القرن السابع عشر.
Other forms of dance such as Bandiya Jehun have a strong South Asian flavor. أشكال أخرى من الرقص مثل bandiya jehun لها نكهه قوية في جنوب آسيا. Today western pop and Indian music is popular with the young and old. اليوم حفلة لموسيقى البوب الغربية والموسيقى الشعبية الهندية مع الصغار والكبار.

The Maldivians are skilled craftsmen. فان اهالي ملديف هي الحرفيين المهرة. This can be seen in several of Maldivian arts and craft; the deft coral stone carvings at Hukuru Miskiiy, the intricate lacquer art, the fine mats woven by the women of Fioari in the south and the work of skilled calligraphers whose works old and new that can be viewed in mosques around the country. ويمكن ملاحظه ذلك في العديد من الحرف والفنون وملديف ؛ وحاذق المرجان المنحوتات الحجريه في hukuru miskiiy ، المعقده الطلاء الفن ، ماتس الغرامه منسوج من النساء من fioari في الجنوب والعمل من العمالة الماهره التي تعمل الخط القديم والجديد أن ويمكن النظر الى المساجد في جميع انحاء البلاد.

Most of the international courier services are also represented in Malé. معظم الخدمات البريديه الدولية ممثلة ايضا في مالية.

The local currency is the Rufiyaa. العملة المحلية هي rufiyaa. A Rufiyaa is 100 Laari. أ rufiyaa هو 100 laari. The Rufiyaa is in denominations of 500, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 Rufiyaa notes, 1 and 2 Rufiya coins and 50, 25, 10, 5, 2 and 1 Laari coins. وقد rufiyaa هو في الطوائف من 500 ، 100 ، 50 ، 20 ، 10 و 5 rufiyaa تلاحظ ، 1 و 2 rufiya القطع النقدية و50 ، 25 ، 10 ، 5 ، 2 و 1 laari عملات معدنيه. All resorts, hotels and most major shops and restaurants are authorized money changers and can accept payment in most major currencies and by credit card. جميع المنتجعات ، ومعظم الفنادق والمتاجر والمطاعم الكبرى هي اذن الصيارفه ويمكن ان نقبل الدفع في معظم العملات الرئيسية وبواسطة بطاقات الائتمان.

The Bank of Maldives is the national bank and has several branches in Male’. البنك ملديف والاهلي ، ولها فروع عدة في الذكور '. The Bank also has branches in some of the other major population centers such as Seenu Atoll Hithadhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll Kulhudhufushi and Lhaviyani Atoll Naifaru. البنك ايضا لديها فروع في بعض من المراكز السكانيه الرئيسية الاخرى مثل seenu جزيرة hithadhoo ، HAA dhaalu جزيرة kulhudhufushi وlhaviyani جزيرة naifaru.
