The Maldives Launches the Third Tourism Master Plan As Maldivas lança o terceiro Plano Director do Turismo

The Maldives Third Tourism Master Plan 2007-2011 was officially launched on 14th August 2007 at a ceremony held in Hanimaadhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll. As Maldivas Terceiro Plano Director do Turismo 2007-2011 foi lançado oficialmente em 14 de agosto de 2007 numa cerimónia realizada em Hanimaadhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The ceremony officiated by President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom was attended, among others, by representatives of the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), airlines operating in and into the Maldives, foreign tour operators and relevant Government Ministries and agencies. A cerimónia presidida pelo Presidente Maumoon Abdul Gayoom estiveram presentes, entre outros, por representantes das Maldivas Associação de Turismo da Indústria (Mati), as Maldivas Associação de Agentes de Viagens e Operadores Turísticos (MATATO), as companhias aéreas que operam no e para as Maldivas, turísticos estrangeiros operadores e os ministérios e agências governamentais competentes. Among the invitees were also representatives of island offices, island development committees and women’s committees from the three northern-most atolls of Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu and Shaviyani. Entre os convidados estavam também representantes dos gabinetes ilha, ilha desenvolvimento comissões e mulheres a partir dos três comissões do Norte-a maior parte dos atóis Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu e Shaviyani.

The thrust of the Maldives Third Tourism Master Plan is on expanding and strengthening the Maldives tourism as an instrument of economic and social development in a manner that benefits all Maldivians in all parts of the country. O impulso das Maldivas Terceiro Plano Director do Turismo está em expansão e fortalecimento das Maldivas turismo como instrumento de desenvolvimento económico e social de uma forma que todos os benefícios Maldivians em todas as partes do país. The Plan stresses the development of the industry along the lines of sustainability, adopting environmentally and socially responsible tourism practices. O plano salienta o desenvolvimento da indústria ao longo das linhas de sustentabilidade, adoptando, ecológica e socialmente responsável turismo práticas. Accordingly, the Plan emphasises developing tourism in harmony with nature, facilitating and enhancing private sector investment, developing human resources, creating greater employment opportunities and diversifying markets and products. Assim, o plano destaca desenvolvimento do turismo em harmonia com a natureza, facilitando o reforço do sector privado e ao investimento, desenvolvimento de recursos humanos, criando maiores oportunidades de emprego e diversificar mercados e produtos.

Contrary to previous Plans, the Third Tourism Master Plan is formulated as a “living document” to ensure its responsiveness to rapid changes in the Maldivian economy and global trends in the industry. Ao contrário do anterior Planos, o Terceiro Plano Director do Turismo é formulado como um "documento vivo" a fim de garantir a sua receptividade às rápidas mudanças na economia das Maldivas e tendências globais do sector.

The Plan, unlike the two previous Plans, stipulates strategies and actions along with target dates and performance measures in achieving the goals of the Plan specified in Section One. O Plano, ao contrário dos dois planos anteriores, prevê estratégias e ações junto com datas-alvo e de desempenho medidas em cumprimento das metas do Plano especificados na secção One.

This year the Maldives celebrates 35 years of tourism in the country. Este ano as Maldivas comemora 35 anos de turismo no país.
